First Birthday Cake Smash
The perfect way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday, a cake smash shoot is the latest craze that captures a milestone in your child’s life and will guarantee a lot of laughs, from both baby and parents!
As the name suggests, a cake smash shoot is where we place a yummy cake in front of your baby and capture their hilarious expressions as they have lots of fun destroying it, making for some memorable images of their first birthday. And don’t worry, I always start every session with a mini portrait shoot so we can get some nice portraits of your child in a selection of your favourite outfits before the cake smashing starts!
The perfect time for a cake smash shoot is when your child is 10-11 months old – ideally before they are walking - allowing you plenty of time to use the images from the shoot to make party invitations and/or thank you cards.
Cake smash shoots usually last between 1-2 hours and can take place against a choice of pink or blue backdrop at my home studio in Wetherby, so we can do all the cleaning up afterwards. I provide the cake and the wet wipes, so you don’t need to worry about a thing, except perhaps for a change of clothes (for you and your baby!)
All cake smash shoots cost £150 and include a 12” x 12” printed collage telling the story of your child’s cake smash session from beginning to end, making a wonderful keepsake which would look great in a frame on your babies bedroom wall.
