It was great meeting up with Steph and Andy for their pre-wedding shoot. The couple live in Woodthorpe, just outside York and suggested that we go to their local nature reserve, Acomb Wood, for the shoot. I always let couples choose the location of their pre-wedding shoot so that it is somewhere special to them, and Acomb Woods is a place that Steph and Andy spend a lot of time together walking their dog, Paddy - A special mention should go to Paddy who was such a star, until that is when he took the opportunity whilst I was lying down on the ground to get a shot to kick dirt up into my face! It was very funny and did provide some great shots of Steph and Andy laughing....and it'll teach me for lying down to get a shot when there are dogs around!
Steph and Andy are getting married at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall in York which I am super excited about photographing my first wedding at, especially when I learnt that the Fossgate festival is taking place on the same day they are getting married, so there should be plenty of photo ops around York on that day. It should be a great day!
