Ellie & Jeff were keen to show-off their chosen wedding day venue, The Hawkhills, and asked me to meet them at the venue for their pre-wedding shoot a few months before the big day when the apple orchard would be in blossom - And it was a great call as the walled garden looked stunning with the trees in full bloom. Not only that, but there was also the meadow, the forest and of course, the beautiful backdrop of the historic country house to photograph - I was like a kid in a sweet shop!
What I loved most about this shoot though was not the number of stunning locations to shoot in, but how much I enjoyed being in the company of Ellie and Jeff. They were willing to let go and have some fun and it was a shoot that I will remember for all the laughter, which can clearly be seen on the photo's.
I'm looking forward to seeing The Hawkhills at a different time of year when I return for Ellie and Jeff's wedding in October and if the wedding day is as fun as the pre-wedding shoot was, it will be a great day....
From the Howardian Hills to The Hawkhills, Rob and Katie’s North Yorkshire wedding was filled with picture-postcard locations and beaming smiles, topped off with a fireworks display to remember.
