Alli and Richard are getting married at the very beautiful Sandburn Hall near York this weekend and I met up with them recently just around the corner from where they live at Roundhay Park in Leeds for their pre-wedding shoot.
After cancelling their shoot the week before due to bad weather, we got a bit luckier with the weather on this occasion as it managed to stay dry (which is a real bonus with the very wet spring that we have had up to now!) and we had a lot of fun exploring some of the more hidden parts of this beautiful park.
As these guys live in Roundhay, they love to spend the long summer evenings walking around the park, so it was the perfect choice of location for their pre-wedding shoot. I also love coming to Roundhay and getting off the well trodden path to explore some new places. It is such a big park that I often find myself shooting in locations that I have never been before, such as the ruined castle which Richard had lots of fond memories climbing when he was younger (he was disappointed that they had filled in the holes between the stonework which he used to climb up making it impossible to climb nowadays!).
Alli and Richard are a great couple. They are really easy going and fun to be with. They are so relaxed in each others company, making my job of capturing them in love with each other a doddle. I can't wait to meet up with them again at the weekend for their wedding day at Sandburn.
